Ronald Gene "Ronnie" Dunn was born on June 1, 1953, in Coleman, Texas, USA.
From the start, music was deeply ingrained in his DNA, and he grew up in a tumultuous family where extremes were the norm. His father was a truck driver and honky-tonk singer, while his mother, with a turbulent past, later became known as a devout churchgoer.
Early Musical Beginnings
While attending school in Arkansas, Ronnie spent hours learning melodies on the saxophone, inspired by the virtuoso saxophonist Ace Cannon.
